this is the Netherlands on the map
The netherlands is quite a small country for 17 million people.
It has a small size of 42,000 km squared. That size compared to a massive country like russia makes the netherlands look like an island.
The main biome of the netherlands is the deciduous forest. This is a temperate forest that means when it is winter it is ice freezing cold (below 0 degrees) but in summer time or on a sunny day it averages 21 degrees which is pretty warm. The Netherlands has multiple landscapes but the main type of landscape is lowland and coastal landscape. In the deciduous forest there are lots of types of trees some of them are:
- oak
- beeches
- birches
- chestnuts
- aspens
- elms
- maples
- basswoods
